Gun Control Hitler Quote
What do Gun Control advocates make of this quote?
“This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!” -Adolf Hitler,1935
It seems to me that if I had been a Jewish person in Nazi Germany, I would have felt much safer with a 12 Gauge. And don’t fool yourself, it could happen here too. Just give it time, it could happen.
Despite what some people will claim, Hitler tightened up the gun control laws in Germany. That said, the quote is bogus. What isn’t bogus though, is that in 1938 Hitler instituted laws which banned the private ownership of firearms with “military features” (just like Clinton tried to do in 1994, and the gun control side wants to do in the US today), wanted private ownership of guns with a “sporting purpose”, (which the Gun Controllers have gotten in place), and gave the government wide leeway to determine what is ‘sporting’. Both the Nazis and the Democrats have had a representative state that anyone who wanted a military type firearm should join the military. These quotes are legit. John F. Kerry, “But assault weapons? If people want to use them, join the military.”, and Heinrich Himmler, “Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA”
